I have really enjoyed spending time with my kids at home this year. It made the year rough at times, fun at others, and gave us many things we can remember together. As school is coming to a close, there are many things I’m looking forward to over the summer.

For starters, I am going to make an effort to conduct longer streams. That means my daughter or son gets to guest spot in the stream from time to time, which will be fun. If you haven’t visited with me for Coffee and Writing where we play 4thewords, Stream Raiders, and chat about our stories together, please join us! I start at 6:30a ET Monday through Friday on Twitch. We have a lot of fun and it would be wonderful if you’d join us.

We are starting some new giveaways and other fun challenges this year too. It’ll be great. The Twitch Writing Community is amazing. Everyone I’ve encountered has been supportive in one way or another. It is my video home with more branches to come.

There are books and stories to look forward to releasing. Stories that aren’t just mine. My daughter has a series we’re working through. My son has a game he’s working on. I have some fun stuff in process too.

We are going to spend a lot of time getting her books released under her pen name. Two are nearly ready. Two are still being written. Two more have notes for them. I can honestly say that her characters are so alive.

I am evaluating a few serial sites such as GoodNovel and Dreame. I’m also looking forward to using Vella for the same. I have a series dedicated to a serial format intended to be affordable for all who opt to enjoy the story. I have yet to decide if this rather long serial will become a novel or not down the road.

Also on the horizon is the next edition of the Xarrok Legacy story. I intended to release it last year, due to a computer issue, I lost the whole book. It was ready, covered, and prepared just waiting for a release date. While getting it together, the computer died and the hard drive was not backed up. It took me a bit to begin the rewrite of Protocol 70, but it is well underway. I am going to aim for a September release. I’ll keep you updated about how that goes.

There will be a fun new series coming out this year too, but I’ll have to keep you posted on it.

Before I switch gears, one more fun exciting thing to share is that I have begun writing a series with my daughter. It is a short story series. We have our first one out on Google, but we’ll be getting it uploaded wide soon! I can’t wait for book 2.

It’ll be wide within the next few weeks. I hope you’ll watch for it.

August is going to be an incredibly busy month. Besides being our Back to School month around here, it’s also 31 short stories in 31 days. That’s where you work to complete a short story no less than 1000 words each and every day for 31 days. I can tell you that by teaming with some really fantastic Twitch Writers, working with 4thewords on specialty items (visit my stream to see what I’m talking about), and creating every day we have a blast!

Some of us hit that 31 short story goal. Some of us don’t. We always end up with a memorable, enjoyable month. We have more words written and stories complete than we had to start the month. More than that, we know we can do some amazing things. I can’t beat that.

If you’d like to join us for 31 short stories you can visit

All the details will be left there as will the prompts every day.

So, that’s my plan for the summer – what’s yours?
